Re: [LeadersWorkshop] Ph.D topic-SUGGESTED TOPIC FOR Ph D RESEARCH

It would also be a great blessing if Doctoral guides let us know their availability to guide and their topics of interest.

Some-many? might get motivated to do research if there is a database.

I for one  would

SUGGESTED TOPIC FOR Ph D RESEARCH

Moderators are re3quested to please publish in the interest of members

Many times we see request from members of different HR forums for suggestions for a topic of research.

I have been a professor of OB and HRD in one of the most prestigious universities in India, The M S University of Baroda, for few decades and have produced about two dozens of Ph.Ds. and a few Post-doctoral students. I thought it may be one of my responsibilities to help such academically hungry souls.

I recently came across some disturbing trend in the language used by our young professionals particularly in MNCs and IT and BPO companies which I believe could be harmful to over all work culture. I suggest, why not take up a topic like

"Uses of Slang in MNCs, IT and BPO Companies by their Employees and their Impact on the Deteriorating Social and Work Culture of these Companies?"

How does it sound? It will be useful for its academic, professional, career as well as academic value.

It's a live issue which has far reaching consequences on the future of these companies and on the society itself. For example, one visible consequence that is already seen is that many housing societies in Pune strictly prohibit their residents to let out their houses for accommodation on rent to the employees of these companies.
