RE: {PassionHR} Leave Plan ( Jan-09 to Dec-09)

Dear Santosh,

We are using for rules for EL.

Earned Leave - is earned by the employee and can be availed for any purpose of his/her choice, for which an advance approval of leave is essential except in emergencies.
Leave entitelment - 30 days

EARNED LEAVE GUIDELINES

a)      All Executives will be credited 30 days of earned leave on every 1st of January provided they have worked for whole of the previous year.

b)      In case of new appointments the earned leave will be calculated on pro- rata basis from the date of joining to 31st December of that year and will be credited to them on following 1st January.

c)      Executives must avail a minimum of 10 days of EL every year. Out of the balance 30 days of leave (i.e. 30 days – leaves availed), maximum of 10 days leave shall be compulsorily encashed on 31st December every year. The balance leaves if any shall be allowed to be carried forward as accumulated earned leave to the next year.

d)      Earned leaves are supposed to be applied for and got sanctioned in advance.

e)      Executives are allowed to suffix and prefix holidays / weekly off to their earned leave. Weekly off either preceding/succeeding the date of commencement/ expiry of leave will not be counted as leave. Other intervening weekly off will be taken into account for calculation of earned leave.

f)        Earned leave, normally, will not be allowed in advance but in genuine cases the same shall be granted upto the limit the executive would have become entitled to EL in case it was available on pro-rata basis..

EL upto a maximum of 60 days can be accumulated.

Accumulation of leave doesn't include the leave credited for the year to the executive on 1st January every year.

If accumulated leaves (EL & SL) exceeds the accumulation limit, the same shall lapse to the extent it exceeds the limit

Dear Santosh,

We cannot deny encashment of PL .As it is earned leave by the employee. You are violating statute. Further if you are putting a ceiling for accumulation pl make employees compulsorily ava il minimum PL every year and get the yearly plan from the region to avoid gate crush.

Subject: {PassionH R } Leave Plan ( Jan-09 to Dec-09)

Dear All,

In our organisation we want to introduce Leave Plan i.e ( Jan to Dec-09). We are having (25 PL), which is to be carry forward every year. Henceforth we are not giving any PL encashment to any employees ( PL Accumulation is only 60 PL).  My employees strength is 300 at diffrent location.

Any body Could suggest me, how will go ahead or any leave plan format.

Do the needful
